Aframe: Looking up and down with desktop touch

I'm currently trying to show a 360°-Video on a touch-enabled desktop-system. Unfortunately, rotating the view seems to be restricted to panning left and right. I want to be able to pan the view up and down.

I found some other issues concerning this:

In this, the author explains, that panning the view up and down works on desktop. As I can't see, if the author refers to "mouse"-based desktop, I wanted to ask, if it is possible, to pan the view up and down using touch on a desktop system.
