What is a good design pattern for sending data from a computationally intensive process to a webserver? (Python)

I am running a real-time computer vision algorithm on a Raspberry Pi and I wish to send the collected statistics and live images to another machine over the web. I was wondering if there is a preferred method of doing so and whether or not this is a trivial task. Please excuse me if this question is rather vague.
