How to develop an application that swaps any websites images files for the image files stored on another server before it is displayed to the user? [closed]

I have been trying to build an application that modifies images on any website to a particular format, so when the website is displayed to the user they see the modified version of the website.

I plan on making this application an addon to the browser or a remote application. I want to know if it is possible to achieve this image swapping with dom-manipulation.
