On the Facebook API how can I get the account's prefered currency?

So the 'currency field was deprecated, and even this workaround doesn't seem to work anymore. Is there any way I can get the currency from an account (especially an ad one)? And even better, get some exchange rates?

Also I believe the API returns values on the account's preferred currency, can anyone confirm this info for me please?
