How can I verify upi transaction using transaction ID in my php website?

I need to verify the upi payments on my website based on the transaction ID entered by the user without integrating the payment gateway providers because they cost 2% of transaction. The payments will be done by upi apps and then the user will provide transaction ID and the website will check that transaction is legit or not. Thanks in advance !!!!
