Which web framework should I use as a core Java developer

I am a core Java developer and understands the basics of HTML CSS and JS I want to build a webapp with user management and authentication. It would also have user specific in browser filemanager to edit files etc. Which web framework should I use to build quick web app development?

I understand we have GWT, Spring or few others, but can someone suggest which one would require smaller learning curve?
