Does anyone know a way to determine the size of entire website without downloading the website?

I am new to python and am wondering if there is a way to determine the size of individual websites and all downloadable links? I would like to compare the size of an entire website to the size of their investor relations page. I have looked at using plug-ins and other software, but that either gives the size of a specific webpage (and not the downloadable links) or requires me to download the entire website (which takes ages). I have around 1000 observations I would like to examine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
