If I have files for website built with Dreamweaver, can I edit and preview that site without Dreamweaver?

I want to make changes to a website. I have access to the project files. The website was built using Dreamweaver.

What I Want To Know: If I just want to make changes to the HTML files or something, would I need to download and learn how to use Dreamweaver? I use Visual Studio Code for most of my coding, and am wondering if I can just edit the HTML files in VSCode and preview my changes by running an instance of the site locally before pushing all the changes to the server.
