I'm a student in IT, about to graduate as a software developer. In school, we've seen a lot of ways to go about creating a website.
I want to know your opinion on which languages/techniques I should use for starting a new website in this day and age. The website itself is going to be for my dad, who's a photographer. This means that I want my website to be responsive to all screens, a swipe function for mobile users on photo-galleries and possibly more in the future.
As a webdeveloper, I have good knowledge of html, css and javascript/typescript. I have used php before, but only for a few hours and would rather not use it. I would also consider myself good at Java, but I don't know if a backend story like that is needed for a simple photography website.
What would you recommend for this concept with my skills? Have any tips I should use to make my website responsive or more usable on mobile devices? Please let me know. Thanks!
