HTML / CSS: How do I have an image before my list on my nav bar

I have a very simple html and css file. I want to have a nav bar on the top of my site (like the image below) with the image BEFORE the list. The issue I have is when I have my list float to the left, it shows the list first and THEN the logo image. I want it the other way around. Any ideas?? Thanks
