How to access first three files from a folder using Javascript or jQuery?

I have a folder named Blogs and it contains all the files that are to be posted. I want to post recent three (html) pages from the blog under the heading "recents". Please help an amateur web designer find a way to access it using jQuery or Javascript. Thank you.
