So I've been stuck on this puzzle for a while now. Someone I know asked me why his guestbook is not working after I did a few minor tweaks to his website. The php files get a 500 internal server error.
The thing is: I duplicated his website and added the tweaks on there, and the php still works on the version that I didn't touch - so it must be something I did. The reason I'm so confused is because I didn't touch anything that (for as far as I know) would affect the php in any way.
What I did on the duplicate website:
- Linked the website with www.cushycms.com
- Added "class=cushycms-wysiwyg" to every page
- Did some minor css tweaks (adjusting margins and colors)
- Added some plain text .html pages
I also
- Kept the backup around in an 'old' folder. If I switch back to that one, everything works fine.
- Checked the filepermissions, everything is the same.
- Once switched on the providers website from PHP versions 5.3 to 5.6, and back. This is the only thing I did related to PHP, but as switching back to the original makes PHP work again I don't see how this could've had that effect.
The site is www.eendengarage.com, the pages where the error happens:
- http://ift.tt/2ig9JCB (for the viewimage2.php, which should be the captcha)
- http://ift.tt/2idsV0P (and all the other php pages, a total of 5)
(Please don't judge me for the design, it's not mine, the guy is really old fashioned and strongly convinced it's a good design).
Would any of you have any idea why the duplicate website is unable to perform any php, why the original can? Thanks!
