Advice on coding large web project

I am really in need of some advice. I am currently planning to code a large web project (School Management System) that needs to be scalable and handle lots of data and users. I am torn between Laravel and ASP.NET and I am not sure which one would be better?

I am aware of the pros and cons but I could not decide on what would be the best given the purpose of my project? Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
