How to link python script with HTML pages?

I have HTML pages and Python scripts on the Linux server and on the Apache web server .. What is required is to link the scripts to the HTML pages, so that information is displayed on the pages through the execute Python scripts ... and in scripts that are executed on the server when I click buttons or icons on the HTML page .. What is the basic idea for doing this topic and what is there in Framework available to do this thing?

I searched for solutions and found Flask,Django,and CGI ... but I did not understand the idea or the mechanism .. I want to understand how this works.
