Which field of area would be most suitable and handy to gain experience from before getting into IT security?

I am a student in computer science with no working experience in this field at the moment and I would like to change that. I am also interested in getting a job in IT security on the long run.

I believe the best entry points as beginner are either Web Development or App Development to get a job in general. But next to security I am highly interested in app development.

I have already a good understanding in the languages of Java and Swift. And some basic knowledge about JavaScript, Python and C.

Which area would be most beneficial on the long run? I want to learn the IT security concepts and tools slowly but steady on the side, next to one of those job areas.

On the one side I like Swift and iOS Development, on the other side I couldn't befriend myself with JavaScript for some reason and struggling with the decision if I should give it another try and if Web Development wouldn't be better.
