Webapplication - how to open camera to scan QR code

is there a way to open the front camera (in my case the ipad camera) to scan QR codes when the user clicked the button?

Is this possible with JS? Or do I need to use a libary?

I just found a tutorial where I can upload the QR code but I want to open the camera to scan the code.
