Migrating dynamic site to hugo [on hold]

I have a dynamic site created with Unify 2.0 template and was ordered to make it static using hugo for easier editing and addint content. I dont have much expirience with html nor css. How should I proceed with such a job. If it makes anything simpler I think I can use some other static site generator.
