tutorial links for web developement and how to create a desktop application?

I am new to programming,i want to learn web development and desktop application for pc.But i donot where to start.Please suggest me how to start,i want free tutorial for web and desktop coursse links or website.And I am beginner so i don't get had basic any idea about desktop application like how to create,where to learn it.Please help.
