Ways to identify devices reliably?

I have a website that uses Two Factor Authentication. I keep information about devices connecting to the users account. Somewhat like google, I want the user to be able to have the list of devices that connected to is account and differentiate them so he knows if an intruder connected to his account or forget a specific device.

I currently have, the platform (Windows or mobile) and the last connection time. I tried getting the browser name but there doesn't seem to be a reliable way. Also tried getting the location of the device but again, using VPN's and other ways the information becomes unreliable.

Is there ways to get that information reliably and/or are there other information I could get to identify devices?
