Im still very much a beginner with most languages, but I find I work best setting big goals. I have an idea for web app of sorts and I just want to know what direction so I can get a very basic working prototype.
Ok so its a web app with not much more than an input field. A user would be able to type a question or statement in there, and either comment on it if it has been asked before, or ask it themselves if nothing is found. Kinda like stackoverflow I suppose.
The comments would be restricted in character like twitter and would be accompanied by a like/dislike,yes/no,agree/disagree,red/green type button.
When a user views a question/statement they can see some analytics about it. i.e percentage of agrees/disagrees, common words or phrases commented etc.
The kicker is you cannot view a question/statement until you have commented yourself. Kinda like a poll but with more analytics.
The front end doesn't seem like too much of an issue, I'm more interested in what to use for backend - Nosql, Hadoop, and cassandra have all popped up.
Also i'm starting to learn some python text mining and I'm wondering if this could be integrated into the backend easily enough.
Sorry if this isn't really a suitable question I just want a little direction and-or confirmation its achievable at my skill level.
