I am working on a project that will combine several legacy independently developed safety related web sites into one. These sites are all back ended by Oracle databases, but the data schemas are completely custom to each site. Any thoughts on how to depreciate the old sites and standardize the data so we can move forward with a common taxonomy? We will be implementing a full SOA architecture and could do translation on the fly. Are there any good third party tools for this? We are talking about 100's of millions of records.
