Firefox screensharing icon/popup window status information

I'm implementing screen sharing web app utilizing Firefox browser screen sharing, I would need to know the Firefox screen sharing icon and/or popup window status (visible/not visible) to get my own 'share/stop sharing' button to be in sync with the firefox share icon/popup. Is this possible?
