Any way to use Hikvision/Dahua web plugin on MacOS?

Here's the ugly side of the CCTV industry - no one gives a **** about platforms and compatibility. While the whole world migrates to pure web solutions, surveillance industry still uses good old plugins. The problem with good old plugins is that they are retired by all major browsers (excluding IE, but no sane person considers IE as a browser either). Chrome dropped NPAPI, followed by Firefox and Opera later this year. Neither Dahua, nor Hikvision seems to care about that. So now the only possible way seems to be using IE or "IE Tab" in Chrome. However I use MacOS and both are not an option simply because IE can't run on MacOS. Is there some tricky workaround or its a bad luck until someone starts to care about standards, platforms and compatibility?
