Which Technologies Are Needed to Build a Monitoring Dashboard (like loggly.com) [on hold]

I started developing a small analysis application that uses PHP, HTML5, JQuery, and Google Visualization Charts API (JS). However, I am facing difficulties, such as data sent between JS and PHP and vice versa, keeping the code clean, performance issues (charts will have to run on the client side since data is in a file on the client side), etc... So, my questions are: 1) Which technologies/frameworks/languages/... can I use to create a similar application like that offered by loggly.com? (see screenshot) 2) How to avoid the hassle I described earlier? I need JS because some SDKs I am using are built in JS, and at the same time I need PHP to make things easier for signing in, sessions, server side work, etc...

I appreciate any feedback.
