How to read a html page content and retrieve its data?

I'm trying to make a node application which I can use to retrieve data from a specific html page.

I want to read the meta data, and get the page title and description and content (Image link, Videos)

Something like the Facebook feature when you try to post and link and then it shows all its data ?

is there any similar API to do this ? or any node tutorial to make that possible ?
