How to integrate paypal to codeigniter and google app engine

I am working on my project and there I have to integrate paypal. There is a cart and and I have to create payout function with paypal. It is difficult to understand to configurations with paypal because I have use google app engine to run the project. Please let me know if there is a way to integrate paypal to my project.
