how to execute local system API(executable c) from my web application

I deployed my application in separate server. I am accessing the application in my local system using chrome browser with public URL. my application have a button called print. If i click the print button i need to execute the printer API(executable c program) which is located in my local system. I tried a lot but i failed to connect from server to the local path API. How do i interact and what are the ways. Please help me on this and suggest me. Its urgent.

Local system Environment

Os: Ubuntu Linux 12.04

Processor: ARM processor

RAM: 512 MB
