What technology recommend I use for Java Desktop + Web + Java API to API Flikr?

I come to ask you to have a much larger Java nohall that my :) The best way to develop the architecture of my system.

Today, I have a little system in Java Desktop that has a connection in PostGreSQL and displays a list of items (product name) in text on the desktop (without interface). A sample output of the system does is: Coca cola, Cornstarch, Mayonnaise.

But I need to make the following changes:

Present this list on the web and not in desktop as it is today; Using a facebook API to validate the client, because today there is no validation; Finally use another API to get a photo of this product in a web site and present it instead of showing a written text "Coca-Cola"; After recording the product clicked by the customer in the database; What do you recommend using with regard to technology? I can do everything in Java or'll need to use other languages?

I did some searching on the web and found different solutions, as I am new to Java like the suggestion of you than it is faster and more practical. It is worth noting that it is not a commercial application, so I do not need beautiful interface, or the like, only submit photos of the products.
