The site has a chat system. Investigating a performance issue on the server it was found that messages are sent in a rate of 100 RPM and messages are marked as read in a rate of 1000-2000 RPM. is that possible or must be wrong? Further inspection showed that the same message is sometimes marked as read many times. What client code would you implement to solve this?
