Google API: Saved Games / Snapshots feature for web doesn't support put/post like App State (deprecated) does?

I registered as a google play dev. to use the Saved Games' Snapshots feature (http://ift.tt/1w8tlFN) for my serverless web app/game.

But since the App State API has been deprecated and replaced by Snapshots, there doesn't seem to be a way to post/put snapshots, like you do with state: (http://ift.tt/RW2nUg).

Android and C++ has SDKs and example code to use snapshots while the JavaScript examples do not - and the documentation only has get() and list(). What gives?

I am baffled that such a feature would be somehow cut from the web/javascript API, while it seems to be fully implemented otherwise. Is it really supposed to be missing and/or am I really confused?

I would just use the App State API but you can't enable it for projects any longer, which is weird (deprecated without replacement). Is it possible to have Google enable it for me by asking nicely?
