We're a e-commerce site and need some advice on how to implement an autocomplete feature that provides real-time, low latency suggestions as a user types in a search phrase for their global user base. We currently have a product catalogue of around 3 million objects and only want to autocomplete the product name.
Would like to know how to implement this and how the data would flow through the system.
I'm open to other suggestions as well on What are some ways we could generate the autocomplete data? And what types of systems could be used to store and serve the autocomplete data?
