How to get a number given by a user throught a form in the website in Odoo

How to get a number given by a user throught a form in the website ?

After that I will use this number in Python

I did an model.py and an template.xml and search for days..

It's like its impossible with Odoo.

Does someone have documentation or an example please, with XML and PYTHON ?
