Why wouldnt firebase connect to my local website

Im working on a website that is firebase based.(testing only) I created a new firebase project and copied all my project's details to my website as i should. But the storage bucket variable is empty (no idea why) Yet it still seems that there is no connection. I followed many tutorials and im still having trouble Any help will be much appreciated
