Need your help about Interactive Brokers API and Node.js

I use Node.js and I need to use any Interactive Brokers API.

1. Please advise what API I can use? Can I use the Interactive Brokers WEB API?
2. Can I use a demo account to test all the features I need?

P. s. I need this to create a web scanner app.
