is learning a framework worth it?

I want to get your opinion on something. Frameworks/Libs like Angular/React are the craze right now. Will i be better off using one of them ? I investigated Angular for some time and i find the structure of an angular project so appealing. What i find appealing is having a template for each component with each having separate .css .ts files which i feel adds a layer of encapsulation that makes a project more organized as i suffered before with projects getting out of hand where css/js got past 1500+ lines. I just don't want to give up the freedom that i have now. For example in animations i am used to accessing the DOM and doing what ever i want, but angular is so opinionated and accessing the DOM directly is a NO NO. I feel that i will be going against my intuition. What i want to know is it gonna be worth the effort ? FYI what i am using now is ES6 transpiling to ES5 in deployment and libraries am using are anime.js, animate.css, jquery, axios handlebars & navigo.
