Is it possible to send one computer's system (or microphone) audio to another computer?

I was wondering if it was possible to record one system's system audio (or microphone audio as you can simply change the audio input source) and then send it to another user, or a whole group of user's systems. I'm almost certain this should be possible with JS, as sites such as Discord are able to do it, and how would streaming websites be able to do anything without being able to send audio.

Essentially, what I'm trying to end up with is the ability to send your system audio to everyone connected to a certain webpage. Of couse, I would want the web page people connect to to be different to the webpage that allows you to broadcast your audio.

If it's possible, I'd love a simple example as to how it would be executed.
