Web API in .net to communicate with sharepoint and ionic framework

I want to create a web API in .net which will communicate with ionic(JavaScript and HTML5) code at UI and Sharepoint.

I am new to .net, so please suggest me how can I proceed to achieve this.

any tutorial or sample code even suggested would be appreciated.
