Stackoverflow survey, can i count the result?

Ok, Here i tried to carry on survey on stackoverflow to answer my few questions a. Find out Most favorited question categorized by tags. i.e. how many stellar-question are related to "java" category. b. which tag related questions are most frequently solved? I noticed that the combination of such arguments are valid. i. /unanswered + /tagged + /java

The following request is valid ii. /help/badges/36/stellar-question

And the following params are used iii. ?tab=newest iv. ?sort=featured/

And combination character "&" works as desired. eg. v. & pagesize=nn

The problem is A. Counting the result list. Do i need to write it programmatically ? B. Most queries combination give the result ie. badges/36/stellar-question&vote=5. Should i rely on the result ?
