PHP Interpreter to create "Built-in Web Server" on a local drive

I need to integrate a PHP Interpreter to create a Built-in PHP Web Server. Would integrating this into the file cause any issues if stored on a local (shared) drive, for the drive? As-in would it slow down use of the shared drive, any security threats I should look for, and etc.
