How to get view sourcecode of a webpage in a python script

I would like to get the view source code of the web pages which i am visiting in browser through a python script. I dont want to send request through script. Most the people are saying about proxy, I tried a existing proxy but it is not working fine. What is the best way to get result as i expected.
