history of user interaction with the web application's User interface

I'm a student developing a web API for educational use. I was wondering if there is a library, a script (or anything else) available to get the user's history interaction with the UI (for example it takes memory of what buttons the user clicked since he start using the app)

Can anyone give me any suggestions?
