What are the most popular capture methods and services?

Is there any "official" investigation or benchmark what CAPTURE methods (text, audio, e.t.c) and CAPTURE implementations (reCaptcha for instance) are most popular? I guess there should be some agency, that monitors Internet development and publishes such reports annualy.
