What do I need to learn front-end development and what technologies should I use?

I am overwhelmed of all the things needed to learn front-end development. So far I can manage and I am confident that I can understand and write HTML code with bootstrap and a little CSS, but when I started exposing myself more to front-end development, I started seeing a lot more technologies such as SASS,LESS, different frameworks for javascript (react, angular for front-end), Jquery, CSS Flexbox, CSS Grid and etc. All I can do as of now is use bootstrap with or without a template and then get the things I need and boom, I'm done, I want to learn how to build my own "template" specifically those "hipster websites" but with my own design and I just don't know where to start.
