How to Access Local Servers with custom name on Android?

I am trying to develop a web app on my desktop and wanted to test it out on my Android Phone. I've come across this documentation by chrome on how to port forward on chrome so I could access my localhost on my Android. My problem is that I can't make Custom Local Domain Mapping work because part of the step is to connect thru wifi on the same network and update the proxy. I don't have a wifi network and can only connect my phone to my desktop thru usb cable. Is there any way for me to make this work?
