iOS web cross iframe drag and drop

I implemented HTML5 drag and drop in my web application (cross iframe), it works fine in all browsers, but I was sad to learn it does not work on iOS. I've tried http://ift.tt/1J8QbFu and it works, but only inside the same iframe. I also tried to simulate mouse events from touch events to try and get the 'drag', 'dragstart' and other drag events to fire without me firing them directly, but I'm not having any luck with that either. Does anyone have any experience in getting iOS web-app cross iframe drag and drop working?
