I need to import linkedIn picture to my .net application

I have researched this on stack overflow. Some state all I need is a link some state that I need to use their api, get a key etc. If it is just a link I need can someone display a link that works? Plus information on how to get the unique ID. OR if I do need the api with the api key etc.
