Laravel : Adding and passing data to calendar

I want to embed a calendar in my site and I don't kow where to start . I've seen a lot of people use the Google Calendar API , but i don't know if it's the best option .

I have a system of request access . Employees must ask for permission before accessing a certain area , with a pricise date and window of time. I want the Users/Employees to have a calendar where they can see when the area is booked or being used .

I want to be able to pass data form my database to the calendar .
