Decrease load times for website built with WordPress

I set up a website with WordPress for a non-profit, but some of the pages load pretty slowly. I think it's mostly the home page. Does anyone know how I could speed things up? And please let me know how many seconds it takes for the site to load for you. The home page has only 2 jpg images and both are under 300kb. There are 4 svg images that are around 5kb. Google Site Kit is telling me that the Largest Contentful Paint is 8.7 seconds. Just so you know, I used Elementor Pro to build the site.

Any good plugins for increasing speed?
