Accepting only post request from user and converting it on server [closed]

I have an abstract and even a stupid question. I know HTTP request and some server side informations. I have been working with c++ web sockets. Before that I wanted to learn some brief information about web services to understand SOAP WSDL UDDI etc. I have got something stuck in my head while watching some tutorials.

Can we make all POST related requests(I don't know if it's correct to call them like this) such as PUT, PATCH, DELETE converted on server and accept only POST request from client/user for security or any kind of improvement purpose? It's just an abstract idea, I would be glad if anyone has chance to explain it.
