disable default Scroll to top in web application

I'm new to React and Web. I am trying to load some chats data, whenever I add some chats to the top of the chat list, automatically chats container scrolled to the top of chats, I mean first chat in term of creating time. how to disable this scrolling behavior? I also tried a library called reverse-infinite-search.
